It's amazing to watch a man teach his children.
Here is Noah learning firearm safety and shooting with his dad. Jason says to make sure I tell you all that this was Noah checking out the sight (finger off the trigger), and he did in fact shoot with arms extended.
She kinda looks like she's going snowboarding! Eye and ear protection is very important. Soph shot with Jason behind her and his hands over hers, as well. Everyone had to learn the parts to the pistol and proper holding and handling before they were allowed to shoot.
Not bad for the first time!
The kids also got their first BB gun that they will be allowed to handle only with their Dad. The kids know that any firearm is a tool, not a toy. They will be trained on them as they are trained with a fork, a knife, a baseball bat, or any other tool that can be dangerous - with age appropriate guidance and parental supervision.
As many of you know, Noah has been asking to go hunting for years. Here he can practice safely in the living room. He says, "there's gonna be a feast!" because we hunt for food, not trophies.

Hey Jen! I loved reading the new posts! I've been checking in to see what new adventures you've all been on!
It's the funniest thing...Tyson's grandpa just bought him his first BB gun and he's bringing it this weekend! They boys can have something new to talk about! I think it's great to teach kids about ALL kinds of weapons!
We miss you!
Angie H.
They have a very special daddy. :)
