We started our first book of God's Design last month! We are beginning with God's Design for Life. First up, The Human Body. We discussed the purpose of the skeletal system, how each bone is designed by God for a specific function, and the names and placement of some of the bones. And we got to write on ourselves again! Yay!

Being October, we have had many opportunities to study skeletons on our outings. While at a restaurant recently, Noah and I took the time to examine a 3D foam decoration... and I saved some money not having to buy a model! He pointed out some of the bones he knew, and was able to see how the ribs formed a cage and the pelvis was like a basket. I think the waitress just wanted us to sit down :o)
Science is so much fun, and it always points to the order and wonder of our God. I love listening to their realizations about the creativeness of the Lord and His attention to every detail... and how our amazing bones "couldn't just happen".

That's really cool! I always get weird looks, too, when we go out and I find and utilize a teaching opportunity. lol! I think that EVERYTHING in creation declares the glory of God, and it's great that you are teaching them that. <3
