The kids and I have been talking quite a bit about humidity. Around here there is none (can you have negative humidity?), so the humidifier is on at night and a big pot of water boils every morning during the fall and winter months. This has prompted discussions about water in the air and atmosphere, condensation, evaporation, and states of matter.
I was quite impressed when I found Noah sitting on the couch with his hand cupped over his mouth, huffing and puffing, telling me that he was "making his hand wet". "GREAT!" I exclaimed, "you are puffing the warm air out, and water from it is condensing on your cooler hand!"
He says, "Yeah Mom, I get it about all the water vapor and stuff.... but I'm just licking it."
