We prayed, lit the candles, read some scripture and discussed it, and closed in prayer. Our focus was on The Lord being our only Light, Everlasting Light, and that we should shine like the moon (reflecting His light). This part was taken mostly from our holiday book. Sophia likes the servant candle, which reminds us to be servants of the Lord and to serve each other.
Afterward we had praise and worship, choosing songs that had special meaning for the night. Then before we settled down for our family campout, we had parfaits. Our God is perfect!
I am really looking forward to this evening... the Word is our Light. We are having ice cream (our God is so sweet to us!) and family games after praise and worship.
The dog appreciated the campout part, I think.

That dog looks so cozy. I would have laid on her and went back to sleep.
