Fun in the Summertime

Just kidding? Oh, okay.



We are back in the swing of things after about a month off of our routine. I thought it would be relaxing to just veg out and play all day. WRONG! By the end of last week we were all pretty irritable (and that is putting it nicely). After 2 days back on schedule, we are all our happy smiling selves again! Today Noah did some math, Sophia wrote her numbers, and we read the first of three stories about Elijah in our Study Bible. After some Jeepin', swimming, and a super cool water gun fight that I joined in, we headed in for Uno.

Noah was hoarding the "draw 2" cards and plotting to take me out with them. Sophia was refusing to play the number 4 cards because they have a cute little pup on them, and at one point just slapped her forehead and yelled "Oh, for crying out loud!" when she had to pick a card. It was all in good fun though, and it was quite possibly the most hilarious game of Uno ever played. Especially when anyone played a number 5 card, which always came with sound effects.
