Today my Baby Girl got saved. Hallelujah! The angels are dancing!
The Lord had humbled me last night, and had me praying and weeping for her salvation. Little did I know (little was my faith) that it would happen so quickly.
She came to me much the same way Noah did.
Noah had made a comment about the Holy Spirit living in him, and when Soph asked about her, he said something to the affect of "Not yet ". He told me it had upset her, but my response was, "well, she isn't quite old enough to make a decision for herself yet." She got VERY angry with me and said, "Mom, I AM NOT TOO YOUNG!!"
We had a talk about what salvation means, and that we shouldn't go after it to be like someone else, but because we need Jesus. We had a little talk about what Jesus did, what it means, why He died and rose. I mostly asked questions, and let her answer. Forced prayers of salvation are NOT salvation... I wanted to make sure that this was of God.
I told her she was absolutely God's baby, but that isn't the same thing as being saved. And that she had plenty of time to make a decision as she gets older. "But I understand... and I want to pray!!" So she prayed, silently. What did she pray for? "I told the Lord that I want to be His forever!" She asked for forgiveness of her sins and that the Lord would help her everyday.
Then she calls to her brother, all smiles, "Noah! I have the Holy Spirit!"
I had to pray about it afterward, she seems so young. Do you know what the Lord said to me? "They said David was too young." It wasn't the first time, and it won't be the last time He knows better than I do!
How do I get saved?
