Getting Up Close, and Saying Goodbye

All of the little guys hatched into healthy butterflies! We spent some time getting to know them, and then sent them off into the world. Two stayed behind for most of the day (the kids named them Melissa and Michael), but they finally flew off to find homes of their own as well.

If you are interested, you can read the full instructions for the project here. Pay special attention to "The Birth of a Butterfly". It was so cool to observe!

The kids and I had tons of fun. Contemplating the creativity of the Lord was something that I really cannot express in words. Highly, highly, completely recommended.
